Shahid Sheikh announced a break for dinner after conducting the first part of the evening programme. After dinner, Fehmida Uppal expressed a variety of thoughts and emotions, who has been appointed to organize the entertainment programme for the Eid dinner. She immediately felt honoured to be chosen by Chairman Adib.
Fehmida Uppal is a renowned poet and being a poet and lover of Urdu poetry, Se compiled a programme based on her own poetry and also selection from famous poets. She is a very active member of ‘Bazme Urdu’ and her ghazals are read on many radio programmes, private parties and family occasions also.
Fehmida Uppal thanked Chairman Adib for appointing her to head the committee and also promised to continue to work for the Association. The she read her own poetry while her group of ladies read couplets from famous poets.
After poetry programme another programme was held. That musical programme presented by Prabhu Patel, Hasnain Molu and Fehmida Uppal mesmerized the audience with their melodies.
In the last, certificates of appreciation were given to the participants as a special way of ‘Thank you’ and making everyone know we appreciated their contributions, remarked Shahid Sheikh.
